Baba Indaba launches in Pretoria:

The South African baby expo, Baba Indaba has announced the launching of a fourth show in that country.  Following the very successful expos in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, a fourth show wil be held in Pretoria in 2008.  Originally the expo was to be held early in September but recent schedule changes at the venue beyond their control have persuaded the organisers that it would be in the best interests of their exhibitors to move the expo earlier. 

Show Director Natalie Naude says that although Pretoria has reasonable proximity to Johannesburg and Sandton, it should be considered a separate marketing opportunity and has been extremely well received by the industry as a whole.  "It is one of our fastest selling shows with the floor space moving very quicly indeed.

Pretoria has a large and growing population of middle to upper income people who have been crying out for quality exhibitions.

The Baby Shows (UK) reach 74,000 in 2007


The Baby Show in association with Bounty sponsored by Volvo, organised by Clarion Events held their final Show of 2007 at Earls Court last weekend. Following the launch of the ExCeL Show in March (23,337 visitors), and NEC Show in May (24,667 visitors) Earls Court brought in a further 26,000 visitors meaning the total number of parents and parents-to-be who attended the Shows reached a record 74,000 throughout the year.

With over 285 exhibitors and new features the content at Earls Court was richer than ever.
